The Leprechaun
Despite being a sequel to the Leprechaun horror series, Leprechaun 4: In Space is the worst film in the collection. Yes, it's set in space, but that's precisely what makes it so mind-numbingly fantastic. The film Leprechaun 4 is a great illustration of how an absurd idea may be elevated to the level of something really "unique." The movie is chock-full of realistic effects, imaginative killings, and Leprechaun lines that will have you rolling on the floor. Whether you're a fan of the Leprechaun series or just horror films in general, you'll want to check out Leprechaun 4: In Space.
Pinhead
Hellraiser: Bloodline is a fascinating continuation of the series that also serves as a prequel. The story spans three different time periods: the 1700s, the 1990s, and the 2200s. My expectations for the fourth installment of the series were not very high, and let's be honest: I'm really only here for Pinhead and the other Cenobites. It is always a pleasure to see Doug Bradley perform because he maintains that icy, sinister, and demonic aura. This makes no sense and is difficult to grasp, but who cares about any of those things? Even if you've seen everything of Hellraiser before, you should see Bloodline simply for Pinhead's sequences since they're so terrifying. If you liked Hellraiser or any of the other works by Clive Barker, you should check out this one for sure. Even if there isn't a whole lot of logic behind it, it's still a really entertaining journey.
Critters
I must confess that I was fascinated when I heard that Critters 4 will be set in outer space! I mean, how could they possible beat the previous Critters movies? But then I saw the cast list and it simply didn't seem promising. Brad Dourif? Is that Angela Bassett, by any chance? Isn't Anders Hove a well-known Danish actor? I couldn't see how this could work in the end.
When I eventually watched Critters 4, all of my worst concerns were realized to be true. The plot was poor, the characters were terrible, and the environment was a terrible rip-off of other brands' settings. When viewed from the standpoint of a fan, it is especially disappointing since the very elements that made earlier installments in the series distinctive and interesting have either been eliminated entirely or are simply not there at all. The fourth installment of the Critters series is a shambles and a major letdown.
Dracula
Dracula 3000 is one of those rare awful horror movies that's so horrible it's virtually unwatchable. Dracula 3000 is one of my all-time favorite horror films. Even though it's horrible during its whole run time my primary problem is that the conclusion was a blatant cop-out leaving me absolutely unhappy . I had thought "Dracula in Space" would be so horrible it's fantastic, but instead it was so bad it was dreadful. The notion is entertaining, but the acting is awful, and the conversation is extremely unpleasant. I suggest seeing it if you want to feel unhappy the rest of the day.
Also, Coolio. Coolio is there. Did I say that?
Jason Voorhees
Jason X is the most well-known horror film sequel in which the villain travels to space. Jason Voorhees is the man, the tale, and the myth. It makes no difference how he arrived into space. Nobody cares why he's in space. All that counts is that Jason is in space, ready to cause mayhem.
I think Jason X is worth viewing for easter eggs and nods to earlier Friday the 13th movies, as well as his transformation into Uber Jason.
While this movie isn't everyone's bag, it's a great watch for horror movie fans that love campy, cheesy, slasher films.
